PAINTINGS

Selective Memory

Each painting starts with a word or phrase that becomes the painting’s title. As the words are contemplated from
a variety of angles, images develop. The process of painting is like assembling a puzzle, with the pieces moving
and changing until the final image is revealed. The process of viewing these works is the opposite,
deconstructing and decoding the image to reveal the subject.
